The project officially started when the project team met in person for the first time at a kick–off meeting in Turku, hosted by the coordinator Turku University of Applied Sciences. Partners from Tartu, Tartu Health Care College, and Cyprus, Cyprus University of Technology, traveled to the snowy city of Turku for the meeting.
During the two full meeting days, we had the opportunity to get to know each other better and engage in meaningful conversations related to the project. The purpose of the kick-off meeting was to review the project’s content and objectives and understand the financial and administrative requirements, among other topics. Additionally, we collaborated on planning the implementation of future work packages and discussed technical plans and design possibilities of the Virtual Children’s Hospital.
To gain practical insights, we experimented with Virtual Reality (VR) and visited teaching facilities on the Turku UAS campus. We even explored the simulation centre and Majakka Children’s Hospital to get some ideas and inspiration for the Virtual Children’s Hospital. Finally, we initiated collaborative planning of the module content.
After a fruitful start, we look forward to inspiring and meaningful cooperation on the project!
