Turku University of Applied Science (Turku UAS) is a multidisciplinary higher education institution of 13,000 experts, researchers, students, faculty members and teaching professionals. Turku UAS offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes in the fields of Health Care and Social Services; Technology, Communications and Transport; Business and Administration; Arts and Culture. Turku UAS is the fourth-largest technical university in Finland and has a long tradition in health care education and deep knowledge of modern health tech.
Health and well-being faculty has about 2,500 students in the degree programme and open university of applied sciences. There are five units of education and research in the Faculty of Health and Well-being: Emergency Care, Public Health Nursing, Midwifery and Diagnostic Services; Nursing; Master School; Rehabilitation and Oral Health; Social Services and Education. The staff, students and stakeholders work in collaboration to strengthen competence and development for the benefit of the region.

When students actively participate in applied RDI activities during their studies, it increases their readiness to operate successfully in working life. Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) is one of the two state-funded universities. In just under a decade, CUT has achieved an exponential growth, international recognition and impressive track record of research project grants from national and European sources. CUT consists of 14 Departments in five Schools, one of which is the School of Health Sciences. The Department of Nursing, School of Health Sciences is the largest Department by far. It is the national point of reference with regard to Nursing and Midwifery education.
The Department of Nursing has 32 faculty members. At any given time, it educates 200 students (annual intake 40-60) in the 4-year undergraduate programme, BSc Nursing, leading to registration by the Cyprus Nurses and Midwives Council, around 30 – 40 postgraduate students depending on which of its 2-year MSc programmes are on offer, and more than 40 PhD students. The postgraduate progammes include the innovative and the only MSc in Advanced Nursing and Healthcare Practice in the country, with five specialization tracks including Community Nursing, and MSc in Midwifery (one of only two in the country). The Department collaborates closely with the Ministry of Health, and trains students in all public hospitals nationwide.

Tartu Health Care College (THCC) is a state institution of professional higher education with around 1500 students and 154 staff members. There are four study departments: the Nursing and Midwifery Department, the Radiography and Biomedical Laboratory Science Department, the Physiotherapy and Environmental Health Department, and the Vocational Education Department. Tartu Health Care College offers the education and training of undergraduate degree and graduate specialist qualified health care professionals, in-service education, training, applied research, and development. There are three Master´s degree programs: Radiography, Physiotherapy, and Health Sciences. Vocational education is acquired through the study programs for care workers, childminders, emergency medical technicians, massage and client worker for people with mental health problems.
THCC mission is to create conditions for the best health care education and promote health care education and promote health awareness in the society. THCC vision is a nationally and internationally valued higher education institution and a competence centre in the field of health and welfare.
